With the change of International Accounting Standards as well as the Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards, financial instruments should be booked at their fair values rather than at their costs, and the difference between the fair values in the account book shall book in the profit and loss statement of the company. In assessing the fair values of the financial instruments, valuation models are used. The financial instruments including but not limited to employee share option, convertible bonds, financial guarantee contracts and warrants.
