Mineral Extraction Industry

Mineral extraction industries are defined as those industries involved in the finding, extracting and associated processing of natural resources located on, in or near the earth’s crust. They are composed of the Minerals Industry and the Petroleum Industry. They do not include the industry sector focused on extraction of water from the earth, but they do include extraction of geothermal fluid for its energy content.

Our works follow the relevant Guidance Note published by the International Valuation Standards Committee in the International Valuation Standards. Our experts included experienced and qualified economic geologists and mining engineers who can provide technical advices to our professional valuer. In fact, we are probably the first chartered surveyors firm in Hong Kong to sign off a mineral reserve estimation and mining technical report for public circular purpose in according to Chapter 18 of the Hong Kong Listing Rules, and our work can be traced back to 1998 for public disclosure purpose. Our valuation reports are widely adopted by publicly traded companies in Hong Kong for merger and acquisition and financial reporting purposes.
